Program Details

The consequences of sexual misconduct are wide ranging and include various types of physical, emotional, and financial harm. To proactively confront these issues, healthcare organizations need to take decisive action to prevent sexual misconduct and address all reports of inappropriate behavior. This program explores sexual misconduct risk mitigation strategies, including developing policies and guidelines, using clinical chaperones, and ensuring thorough investigative and reporting processes. The program also includes guidance related to facing personal sexual misconduct allegations and responding to state board complaints.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Implement strategies to reduce the risk of sexual misconduct allegations
  2. Use a self-assessment checklist to identify personal vulnerabilities and strengths regarding professional boundaries
  3. Learn how to respond to personal allegations of sexual misconduct and how to avoid common mistakes when responding to a state board investigation
